Pink Slips: A pink slip is a safety inspection report, issued by an authorised inspection station (AIS). A motor vehicle is required to meet NSW roadworthiness standards. A pink slip is used to renew a vehicle registration in four ways.
Registration renewal payment options:

- In person: At your nearest motor registry.
Blue Slips: A blue slip is an unregistered vehicle safety inspection report, issued by an authorised unregistered vehicle inspection station (AUVIS). A motor vehicle is required to meet NSW roadworthiness standards. This is used to sstablish vehicle registration in NSW. In some cases your motor vehicle may be selected for an additional inspection by the RTA's specialised vehicle identity unit.
Green Slips: Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Green slips are a requirement for every registered motor vehicle in NSW. Green slips or Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance is a form of car insurance that protects vehicle owners and drivers from legal liability for personal injury to any other party in the event of a personal injury claim. CTP green slip insurance does not cover damage to property or other vehicles. It is compulsory and is a condition of motor vehicle registration in NSW.
